Ohio ‘line fence law’ states who is responsible for fences

Q: What is the “line fence law”?

A: Ohio’s line fence law, also referred to as the “partition fence law,” establishes rights and obligations for fences that are placed on the division line between properties in Ohio’s unincorporated areas. The Ohio General Assembly’s revisions to the line fence law became effective Sept. 30, 2008.

How Will Ohio's New Fence Law Affect You?

Ohio State University Extension's Guernsey County office invites you to a Fence Law Workshop on Wednesday, April 8, at 6:30 p.m., in Old Washington. The topic: Ohio's new fence law and how it will affect you.

Peggy Hall, director of OSU Extension's Agricultural and Resource Law Program, will speak.

The program takes place at the Oscar Share Hall at the Guernsey County Fairgrounds, 335 Old National Road.

Registration costs $10 per person and is due by April 6.

Encon Electronics alerts installers that gate operator installation exam, study sessions are approaching

HAYWARD, Calif. — Encon Electronics, a leading wholesale gate, door and access control distributor, has issued an alert to installers about its upcoming gate operator installer certification exam and two accompanying study sessions.

The certification program was established by the Institute of Door Dealer Education and Accreditation (IDEA), which collaborated with the American Fence Association (AFA), and the Door and Access Systems (DASMA).
